Kolasa Hall Dorm Reviews at Barry

I loved kolasa. It is the closest dorm to the main buildings and is usually the least occupied when it comes to parking. The cleaning ladys are so wonderful and kind. The dorms are great in size whether you have a single or sharing a room. The shared rooms are better than bevilacqua because you are only sharing one bathroom with one person compared to 3. I was able to have a single and a shared while at Barry and both were great experiences. The common rooms are spacious and have tables and chairs. The only problem would be that there is only one public bathroom for the whole building. That was never an issue for me because no one used them anyway, except for security. The little room behind the front desk was a hidden gem because it has a microwave in it. All in all, out of the 3 other dorms I lived in, Kolasa was my absolute favorite.

I had a pretty decent experience with Kolasa especially because you and your roommate are in the room together. You don't have suitemates so it's nice and as long as you and your roommate are clean, you will enjoy Kolasa a lot. It was pretty quiet except for weekends because of parties off campus. The Resident Assistants were great as well and helped you if you had an issue in the room

This hall was quite peaceful at first. However, after the news report of a male and female who reside in the hall, I realized the danger of the place. If you google, "Barry University student faces charges", you will understand that this hall lacks security. I was mortified at the story and I remember seeing police officers on the scene. My family was worried sick. Barry didn't even notify us, current students, they just dropped the incident and acted as if it didn't occur. Other than that, it's a clean, finely maintenance hall, but the safety is questionable, especially for females like myself. Take extra safety precautions if you decide to reside at Kolasa or any dorm hall at Barry University.
