Columbia Village Dorm Reviews at Florida Tech

Columbia village is a great place for freshman to have a great first year at Florida tech. Although the dorms are a little far for walking from the dining hall there is still every necessity for living close to the dorms. There is a nice laundry facility, the rathskeker, and a field and tenis court near by to do plenty if things. The RA's are all nice but still follow the rules. The parking garage has very little covered parking, but there is still plenty of oarking around the dorms.

Columbia is an ideal residence for freshmen looking to make friends and build a community. You get the benefit of your own room (and hence privacy) with the benefit of having an amazing community and a vast amount of peers.

Columbia Village was a good place to live as a freshman. For freshman housing, it was very nice. There were four rooms, with a living room, and half kitchen. Each person got their own room, and shared a bathroom with one other person.

Columbia Village is definitely the safest and nicest freshman dorm housing. Campus security patrols constantly and I have little fear when it comes to disturbances. You get your own room and Bathroom living in any of the Halls in Columbia Village. The Columbia Village residents also have access to their own Laundry Room, Mailboxes, and recreational room! Having a bridge with a river and manatees below (that students can walk) between the Columbia village housing and the other freshman dorms makes Columbia Village feel away from the hustle and bustle of campus life while still being on campus! Living In Columbia Village you share a kitchenette and living room with your three other roommates. I would recommend Columbia Village to anyone. I have multiple friends who moved from their original housing into Columbia Village for the Spring Semester! Columbia Village is comprised of seven buildings each named after astronauts who tragically died in the Space Shuttle Columbia Accident. Two Residents Associates live in each of the buildings to help the Freshman in case of an Incident. The Chawla building is the women in stem LLC. Since living in Chawla RA's have been nothing but helpful as well as maintenance!

Columbia Village was perfect for my first semester of college and I met a lot of my friends in Columbia Village. Everything worked well in my room and in the common areas and me and my roommates kept our living area very clean

Columbia Village consists of 8 buildings with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathroom suites, a kitchenette, and a living room. Every student in the dorm gets their own room. Each bedroom gets its own bed, desk, closet, and dresser.
