Harris Village Apartments Dorm Reviews at Florida Tech

Wish there was more events like how there was in Colombia village. Not much going on at harris apartments. Very good that it is next to sports fields to watch games. Would be nice if there was an efficient way to protect cars, like a solar panel parking lot.

Harris was a nice place to live in general. It was spacious enough for on-campus living and the bathrooms were perfect for students living together. The furniture for the dorm was old and had not been replaced or cleaned in a while, and there was a problem with ants in the beginning as well.

It is a wonderful and awesome experience and I that's why I give it a five star rate. The apartments have easy access , good parking space , with very good safety of property as well with good sanitation.

I love the individual rooms and the kitchen appliances. The large fridge makes it possible for people with food accommodations to be able to keep their groceries cool. (My roommate is vegan)This wouldn't be possible at other universities due to a smaller fridge or no fridge being provided. I do wish the kitchen was a little wider but I understand because of the need to conserve space. I really appreciate the apartment-style layout as well.

I live in Harris Village for 3 years. Middle apartments allow for each person (in a quad) to a their own sink area and two people share a bathroom, corner apartments 2 people share a sink and shower, and the corner room is smaller than all the other rooms. The kitchens are tight and not a lot fo counter or shelf space, if all of you cook it will be difficult. The rooms are a good size and the furniture is normally in good condition.

My experience at Harris Village has been pleasant. There are few to no disturbances and everyone who lives here is very respectable. There are plenty of washer and driers to do laundry and the actual laundry room is kept clean.

Harris Village is the closest housing option to campus facilities such as the dining hall, laboratories, and recreational facilities. The only thing I don't love about it is the gated entrance that only students who live in Harris can open with their student ID cards. If you have a friend who also goes to Florida Tech, you have to let them in. I live on the fifth floor, so this can get tiring. However, the view from the fifth floor is beautiful.
