Columbia Village

Columbia village is a great place for freshman to have a great first year at Florida tech. Although the dorms are a little far for walking from the dining hall there is still every necessity for living close to the dorms. There is a nice laundry facility, the rathskeker, and a field and tenis court near by to do plenty if things. The RA's are all nice but still follow the rules. The parking garage has very little covered parking, but there is still plenty of oarking around the dorms. more

Roberts Hall

Great place for meeting people as a freshman. Location is far from the main campus. Other than these two things, Roberts Hall is just like any other dorm. Laundry rooms are located on the bottom floor of the building and $1.25/load (wash or dry) more

Chawla Hall

My Experience with Chawla Hall was pretty positive. I had no complaints. The building was located close to the laundry room and vending machines. Not far from the parking garage. The furniture and amenities were in great condition. more

Southgate Apartments

I really enjoyed my time in the Southgate Apartments. The area is quite spacious and has most all the amenities of any normal apartment. I would have preferred to have a dual sink and a microwave but the oven and stove worked fine. I would also have hoped for a cleaner looking refrigerator. more

My experience at Newman Hall was great for the most part. I believe that having great roommates added to this experience. When I first arrived the dorm was pretty clean, however, I decided to still spray and wipe it down with disinfectant wipes. more

Shaw Hall

I lived at Shaw Hall for about two years and I may say it’s one of the best buildings at the Quad. The security office is located on the first floor of the building, so I felt comfortable and safe while I was living there. more

Campbell Hall

Bathrooms aren't kept very clean but they do offer free tampons/pads for the ladies. The showers are a bit gross, would definitely recommend shower shoes (cracks and grime that won't go away). The A/C is pretty good unless you have like 5 people in the room then it starts getting a bit hot. The windows are a little sketchy since they've caulked it and strong wind can sometimes blow through. However, housing tends to be very responsive and the RAs are chill (though they must investigate disturbances if reported). On a more positive note the room size is big and we even invested in inflatable couches! I am very close with my roommate and neighbors. The common room is alright; it has a pool table and some vending machines and although the year started out with four pool sticks, only one remains intact. Campbell is in the Res-Quad so there are plenty of events and activities around that allow for some socializing. It is also closer than most residence halls to classes and you can walk through the Botans to class/PDH. more

I love the private room it's absolutely amazing, but it's so far away from classrooms. Roommates and enviroment here is lovely too. Walls betweens room in a suite are paper thin though so that's really though only bad thing more
