Mauney Hall Dorm Reviews at Gardner-Webb

Moving into a Mauney Hall it was a great experience. Upper classmates help unpacking the cars assisted in the move in, which made the move in go quick and smoothly. Upon moving I meant the RA (resident advisor) when he made me feel very welcome. Mauney Hall is very quiet at night giving you time to study without loud noises. All the students in the dorm rooms are respectable when it comes to playing their music in the daytime. The bathrooms remain clean and there's never no trash in the hallways. Everybody I've met so far in this call has been very friendly and social which makes me feel very comfortable and at ease.

The dorm rooms were nice and had plenty of space in comparison with other dorms. There were some events that the RAs put on which were enjoyable, like a cookout and Smores. The only real issue I had with the dorms was that the bathroom was rather small, but that's the cost of having a large room. Overall, it was good.

Mauney is a good dorm to live in, I have visited all the other dorms on our campus and I believe this is the best boys dorm that Gardner Webb can offer. Although the bathrooms and the maintenance is not at it top tiers the staff does a good job keeping us safe and having a decent living space.

I am a freshman so this is my first dorm experience. I am hoping to move to a newer dorm next year as Mauney is pretty old. All in all, it hasn't been a horrible experience, but seeing where some of my friends live, I really see the difference.
