Watterson Towers Dorm Reviews at ISU

It is kept clean to keep the students safe. The elevators are sort of scary some times because they are known to break down but other then that no complaints. If I wasn't living here during covid it seems like it would be better because we would be bale to leave our rooms with out masks and use other parts of the building that are currently shut down like the fitness center in the building.

Living there for the few months that I did wasn't bad. The walls are very thin though and if there is any noise in dorms around or above you, you will hear it. The dining commons food is mediocre. I wouldn't say it is worth how much you pay for the meal plan. The pods are pretty secure because you need a key to get in. If one person has a smell in their room, it carries throughout the pods. I would say try to get a room on the lowest floor possible because sometimes the elevators are slow and there are many fire drills. I had very minimal interaction with the staff but for the most part everyone was welcoming and friendly. It is also near a few restaurants that are in Uptown.

It's ok. The dorms themselves are pretty decent although they do run cold as the weather worsens and the heating is dismal. I do like their security measures. However, the showers are very cramped and definitely my least favourite part of the building. It should be noted that Watterson's elevators only stop on every third floor of a 5 block section. The laundrey rooms are decent but the piano and private rooms have very thin walls and the tiny kitchen is a nightmare to find.
