Bluff Hall Dorm Reviews at SIUE

it is a little far from the middle of campus compared to the other freshman dorms, but it is nice. I just wish that you were not only allowed 3 overnight guests a week. I also do not like having to check in and out all the time just to come and go.

I won't lie, bluff hall is a really good hall to have as an incoming freshman. The experience of course varies from person to person and how you choose to approach different situations is really up to you. All I can really recommend, I guess this can also apply outside of Bluff, is to be careful who your roommate is because they truly can make or break your experience with college campus living.

I really like how they try to make the on-campus experience feel like I'm a home. Whether it be activities like crafts, painting or inclusive events. I love dorming here and I never have to beg my friends to stop by for a visit.

I stayed in a shared room in Bluff Hall Fall of 2020 and Spring of 2021. My roommate was super sweet, and I loved the suite-style bathrooms. It's easier to share with three other girls than it is to share with 20. The bathrooms are nice and big, but if you're on the first floor you will get bugs. The rooms are nicely sized. The closets are also huge. Bluff Hall isn't the closest to the MUC and the other buildings, but it is not a terrible walk. You have to make sure that you leave 10 minutes earlier.

Bluff was a great dorm to stay in. I was in the Honors Focus Interest Community which meant I was surrounded by others in the Honors college. The dorms are pretty quiet and the people who work there are very kind. It’s a great dorm to be in for your first year. It does get to be a little warm in the winter but it’s easy to open the windows to cool down.
