Patapsco Hall Dorm Reviews at UMBC

I stayed in Patapsco during the 2020-2021 school year, during a pandemic. I was actually very nice, I was at the east wing, I had no roommate so no roommate horror stories. During a regular semester, you share a bathroom with your roommate and suitemates, which is usually 3 people. It wasn't very loud except at night when someone has friends over or something.

Compared to other Dormitories on campus, I'd say it was above average depending on which side of the build you are on. the hallways were clean and it was quiet and nothing much happened during my time there. The walk was long but it was great because you might see some of your friends on the way. Friends make the dormitory experience better!

Bathrooms are very small and most of the common areas have old furniture and broken appliances. The kitchen area and laundry room is nice. Mailboxes are very confusing because they are not all in the same area.

South patapsco is a little older than East patapsco. East patapsco is definitely nicer with nicer common areas. However South patapsco has better water than East and if there is a water shortage, Basement is the best floor to be in because you would still have water! I’ve met so many cool people at patapsco and you’ll definitely make friends easy there
