Spencer Hall Dorm Reviews at UNC

I have had a mediocre experience in Spencer Residence Hall. The bathrooms are, for the most part, clean - janitors clean them Monday through Friday in the mornings. The common areas are typically quiet and a great place to relax.

I lived in Spencer Hall for two years and would highly recommend it as an option for on-campus living at Carolina. It is convenient to classes, Franklin Street, and a very short walk to most of the athletic facilities on campus. My room was a bit smaller than others, but it was very comfortable both in summer and in the Winter with very reliable heat and AC. My room also overlooked the arboretum, which was wonderful during the Fall and Spring, and made for a great spot to hang with friends to do homework outside on comfortable days. The best amenities in Spencer are the gracious common areas. There was always more than enough room to hang with friends, play games, or do school work. Having those rooms available made living in a smaller dorm room much more bearable.
