South Scott Dorm Reviews at UW Oshkosh

I am in my second semester in South Scott hall, and overall it has been pretty nice. The noise isn't ever too much of a problem, and if it is, the Hall advisor will take care of it. The bathrooms on our floor are cleaned regularly too, for anyone that might be worried about that. If I had to say at least one negative though, it would be that the hall is at one of the farther ends of campus, which just means leaving earlier to get to some classes on time.

South Scott was my freshman year dorm and it felt a home away from home. The environment was super assessable, friendly and the staff were so open and kind. I highly recommend and the views are gorgeous of campus!

It is a very good dorm to be in as a freshman, due to covid we weren't able to get out as much as we would if there wasn't a pandemic going. It would be a good dorm for freshman to get out and meet new people because it is such a large dorm.

My experience at south Scott was okay, but nothing too thrilling. Did not know it was considered a party dorm until I moved in. Very rowdy both inside and on the street below. Very warm too. Constantly had to have a fan running.

I lived on the all girl floor but it was the biggest dorm on the campus available to freshman. It was great for making a ton of friends. About 20 people share the bathroom which has 4 toilets and 3 showers. The RA lives in the middle of each wing.

South Scott might a little far from other buildings but it is great where it because it has its own station where you can get food fast and easily. The staffs are very friendly and are always there to help residents.

The south Scott dorms is quiet it’s never to much going on. It’s right in the middle of campus, it’s not to far from classes. Overall my experience has been great. It’s a food place right downstairs, the CA’s are friendly and there is always police walking around so it’s super safe

I lived in South Scott for 2 consecutive years. I found the dorms to be enjoyable and resourceful. Resources such as printing stations, an elevator, warm meal options, and a small grocery store were just a few of the perks with this dorm.

I enjoyed South Scott as my freshman year dorm at UWO. It was welcoming and with it being only freshman it was a great way to meet people. The showers are small, but dorms are bigger! Great experience.

Overall good experience. The fact that it doesn’t have A/C is definitely the worst part but it’s not bad in the winter months. I wish the rooms were designed as squares so the division of the room is easier to tell. Instead Both closets and both desks are side by side.

It is a great first year dorm to live in. Everyone is friendly and respectful on my floor. It so nice to be able to meet people as easily as I did through this dorm. The staff is helpful and understanding and the dorm itself is well set up and first year friendly!

The rooms are pretty nice, sometimes it might not be super nice but better than anything. The walls and door are super thin you can hear your neighbors talk most of the time. But South Scott is very convenient though since there is a place right on the 1st floor to get food and other things.
