Oakland Hall Dorm Reviews at West Virginia

Oakland Hall was a nice place to stay because of the quality of the rooms and bathrooms. The biggest issue I ran into was the drunk students coming home from the club and being loud at 3am on a Sunday. The RAs wanted to be everyone’s best friend rather than take action when it is needed. I lived on three different floors and I had issues on every single one.

Oakland was defiantly nice it had a place you could use your meal swipes for food, there was printing, alot of shared spaces, a nice courtyard, convenient for walking places. The rooms were nice the closet space was good. The shared bathrooms kind of sucked

I enjoyed Oakland as I believe it is one of the best dorms at WVU. It is the most sanitary, safest, and attendees to watch over the students in the dorms. There is also a convenient club store downstairs if you do not want to go to the cafeteria to eat.

I love it! Its always very clean and I can't complain about anything or anyone in my hall. Its located close to my classes and the rooms are clean, large, and the staff is absolutely amazing with everything!

Ive had some of the best times here at Oakland and It really was a great place to start my freshman year at! The people are very kind and the floors usually don't have too many people so its very easy to make friends. Its close to every food place you can think of and a short walking distance from the Health Science Buildings, which is beneficial for all nursing and health students.

My freshman year here at WVU I enjoyed living at Oakland Hall. I think that the staff was extremely friendly and the RA's made a great job at making sure your experience was great. I thought the layout of the room was great because even though you had a roommate both of you had your designated area.

I was a resident of Oakland Hall first and then became a resident assistant (RA) shortly after. The only things I would have changed about the dorm was the accountability of residents. The school was not very good at holding residents responsible when they violated rules. It made the job very difficult for RAs and residence hall coordinators, since residents knew they could get away with a lot.

It is very updated, clean, and there is a nice café on the first floor that is very convenient. The rooms are designed perfectly, allowing each person to have their own space, and there are great common areas.

It was a blast! I had 3 other roommates in a connected suite, and it was a really nice experience getting to live with that many people. The building was brand new which meant our dorms were spacious, modern, and super clean.

Oakland is a great place to stay. It is located far enough away from downtown that the distractions aren’t a problem, but not too far to get to classes. In my opinion it is very clean and the residents as well as staff are very friendly and are doing everything they can to make it a great college dorm experience.

I personally haven’t lived there, but my older sister has. The room was clean when we first moved in, the people were very helpful and nice. The bathrooms were spacious and well kept. The rooms were smaller than excepted. The fridge that was ordered was already brought up to the room and was clean, but it was not taken out of the box.
