Burrus Hall Dorm Reviews at Alcorn

Any HBCU will be run down and not have enough funding. However, living in moldy dorm rooms and moldy showers in the bathroom is revolting. The entrance door of the dormitory remains unlocked throughout the night. Anyone can stroll in, which makes me feel unsafe.

When I went to Burrus and checked in for the first time, I was taken back. I originally wanted another dorm, but I was only left with Burrus. I’m actually glad I got Burrus in the end. It is in the center of all my classes, the cafe, and the union.

Being at Burrus I made friends that I will forever cherish. I learned to be grateful for the little things in life and to always remember that no matter what you go through someone will always be there for you.

I believe they should knock the building down and rebuild. Water in bathrooms are cold. It is not clean. Staff is not friendly. The building has brick walls, which is not attractive and feel like a prison.
