Doughton Hall Dorm Reviews at App State

It was a good environment. I'm an introvert, so I didn't really hang out with anyone but everyone I interacted with was nice. It was somewhat noisy, but it usually wasn't too bad. I lived on the top floor, and the elevator was slow at times when I went there, but it was usually pretty reliable. The air went out towards the end of my stay there, which was not fun, it was summer. There was a bus stop, but it was on top of a steep hill, and while it wasn't super close to anywhere besides the English building, it was hardly removed from everything either.

The RA at times can be very loud especially when your dorm room is right next to the RA room. The bathroom is very clean, the kitchen is a bit small and packed and the common area is making sure to be safe

Doughton Hall is one of the newer, nicer dorms at Appalachian State. It is in a great location on campus and is surrounded by many other dorms. For the most part it was quiet, however, mine and my roommates upstairs neighbors were always loud. After confronting them ourselves, they did not stop and we decided to get an RA involved. They said they talked to them. However, the noises did not stop.
