Eggers Hall Dorm Reviews at App State

It was good however it’s an old dorm so no AC and lots of other weird sounds. It’s a lot of rules for covid, but everything was pretty secure and up to covid-19 code. Other than that, it was fun and nice

It is all girls with tiny rooms. There tends to be a lot of drama. Staff was always nice and it is very safe. I enjoyed my time in eggers. The walk back from west campus is the real killer. I would recommend packing super light as the rooms themselves are very cramped.

Although Eggers is on the extreme opposite of campus, we have so much more community in our Residence Hall as opposed to other “newer an nicer” dorms across campus. All the RA’s are also amazing and seek to engage with anyone that walks through the door while they’re on duty at the front desk.

I really hated that we did not have any air conditioning. The staff was very nice, but there was not enough people for the RAs in the building and the residents in my hall were not very active in dorm activities.

The dorm experience, especially this year, is unlike any other. The accommodations are comfortable, despite the fact decorations don't stick to the walls very well. The staff are kind and hard working. Safety was always their first priority. One morning, I awoke to my smoke alarm blaring at 7am, not exactly a favorite time for college students to wake up, and in my tired daze I was able to ask the maintenance staff to fix it. When I came back from my morning class, the problem was fixed. The challenges of this year were made much easier by having a safe and clean accommodations of the dorms.
