Hoey Hall Dorm Reviews at App State

It was overall a decent dorm. It was not the best dorm on campus, but it was not the worst. It never felt like home, but you can't except a dorm to feel like home. I was woken up by the cleaning people every morning ate around 6 am. There was never enough toilet paper on the weekends either since the cleaning staff didn't work weekends.

The community of Hoey Hall was very involved and the dorm rooms were pretty clean and spacious. The bathrooms were cleaned everyday by the staff and the dorm building was located right next to a study lounge called Legends. I met some pretty cool people on my floor and the view from my room is very pretty. It gets noisy during the day though.

Hoey hall was a great first experience in the dorms. All the rooms were decent sizes and one was able to put of decorations and make it how they wanted. Unfortunately it was an older building so the air conditioning did fail from time to time.

Overall I had a very pleasant experience living here! It was a great start to my college experience. The rooms are a good size and I love the large window. The RA’s are great and the gender neutral bathroom is a good alternative.

While dorm-life this school year hasn't been what anyone expected, due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, Hoey Hall has certainly kept their facility clean and comfortable for all residents. Hoey Hall staff work diligently to ensure the safety of the residing students through efficient sanitation measures.
