However, as life sometimes goes, some of my dearest friends had to leave the university for various reasons. Though it brought sadness and a sense of loss, I remained connected with them despite the distance and cherished my moments with them. In my sophomore year, I became a resident assistant (RA), responsible for fostering a positive living and learning environment for my fellow students. I became a guiding light for newcomers, especially those who were struggling to adjust to their new surroundings. My empathy and helpfulness allowed these students to settle in more comfortably, knowing they had someone to turn to. I became the go-to person for information and guidance, helping students navigate campus life and access vital resources. I knew all the ins and outs of the university, from the best apps for campus activities and news updates to the most effective study techniques for exams. Students sought my advice on where to go when they needed help, whether academic, emotional, or personal. Being an RA also meant that I was there for students during difficult times. Amstutz is definitely the best residence hall for incoming students! It is relatively updated compared to the other halls on campus and is in a great location next to the dining hall. The sense of community is nice in this residence hall and the RA's are very welcoming and supportive.
