Adelphi Commons Dorm Reviews at ASU

I have lived on campus for two and half months now. The Adelphi Commons have been here for a while, so the test of time shows. Overall, the dorms are not bad. The bathrooms are a little dated and the shower is kind of awkward. The dorms are in a complex each separated in their own courtyard set up. The complex has its own fencing with keycard gates to prevent strangers coming and going in the safe space. The RAs are friendly and have provide a number of experiences for those living in the dorms to get to know each other.

Pretty calm place to live. I liked how it was connected to the outdoors and you could access easily. They tried to hold bonding activities but it depends on the sociability of your cluster and willingness to make friends.

Adelphi is the perfect freshman dorm, a right of passage. It is by no means luxurious, but this builds character. It's a good awakening into living on one's own in a small, comfortable place that's not the highest of quality. It's a roof over one's head in a chaotic grown-up world, so it's the perfect way to start a young adult's first years alone.

Adelphi Commons is a great dorm experience for first year students at the Herberger Institute of Art and Design. The only drawback is that it's a bit secluded and pushed off to the side from campus, so some classes may be a bit of a walk.
