Hall 5 Dorm Reviews at Albany State

I believe that Hall 5 is a decent hall to stay in for freshmen, given that it's an all-freshman dorm. However, it's a very active dorm. If you're not into the partying lifestyle or hearing the band playing outside your room, I would recommend you stay in another hall.

Hall 5 so far has been a generic experience. Most of the things here seem pretty common in college dorms i just wish the air conditioning unit and system was better it can definitely get hot sometimes.

In my opinion, Hall 5 is the best first-year dorm anyone can ask for. It was not too far from anything, the Residential Assistants were amazing and was there for you when you needed them. I remember it would be times where I would leave my key locked in my room by accident and I could call one of them after midnight to assist me into getting into my room. Would not have asked for a better freshman experience housing wise.

This was a great first year/semester experience. My only complaint is the maintenance is slow about responding to calls for clogs, smoke detector batteries bad and my door lock was bad. The staff and cleanliness was great.

Hall 5 has been a great experience for me. It is quiet and clean. The RA’s are always available amd willing to help. I have had 2 room inspections and they have been great. I would definitely recommend it to new freshmen.
