Fugate Hall Dorm Reviews at Averett

I honestly loved living in Fugate Hall especially as a freshman. Being in the center of campus was convenient. I also enjoyed the suite style dorm because I enjoyed sharing a space with less people and I became closer with my suitemates. Being in Fugate allowed me to make a lot of friends and there was a diverse group of students living there. I also really enjoyed that there were the common spaces in the front lobby...a lot of students would gather there for movie nights or game nights that the RAs and hall directors had set up and it was really fun. It is also convenient having parking right behind and right next to this dorm.

This is my first year in college and I wasn’t able to visit because of COVID-19 so I chose Fugate because it’s a suite style dorm and it looked nice in the virtual tour video so I went with it. Its actually bigger than I thought. And I don’t have a roommate so I like that. The bathrooms don’t get cleaned by staff, they just add soap in the soap dispensers and change out the trash. I don’t like that the showered don’t get cleaned.
