Oak Hall Dorm Reviews at BSU

The beds are surprisingly comfortable and the built-in desk space is awkward but useful. There are no closet doors, so if you want a full-length mirror it will need to be free-standing. There is no air conditioning, so a box fan is recommended. There are both co-ed and gendered floors. Locking and unlocking your door will take a good 1-4 minutes during the first week or until you get the hang of it. If not knowing where a stain is from, smelling someone's B.O., or seeing random hairs that aren't yours is an absolute no-go, you may want to reconsider.

Oak Hall was a great experience, being in the dorms helps you meet new people and some of which you would have never thought of talking to. The bathroom showers can get a little bad sometimes but that is the glory of all shared dorm showers! I would recommend Oak hall because of it's location, cheaper parking lot, distance to eating quarters and convenience store.

I loved it at Oak Hall, it was such a friendly environment. The staff was always really helpful and friendly. It was always really clean and neat. The rooms were really nice, with new carpet. Everybody followed the Covid Protocalls.

It was a really fun experience living in Oak Hall. Our Maintenance guy was amazing, he was always vacuuming the halls and cleaning the bathrooms. The RA's were amazing on our floor but there were some pretty bad ones on other floors that played favorites and disciplined residents they didn't like for invalid reasons. The actual dorm staff wasn't so good as they were hardly available and almost impossible to contact. There was a fun game room, and the laundry room was very accessible at all times of the day. The worst part was being on the very end of the campus completely on the other side away from the academic buildings so it was a long walk, but if that's the worst part, they're doing pretty good. Besides having 30 fire drills in the middle of the night, I had a great time at Oak Hall. There are definitely some improvements they can make, but they did their best, and I had a good dorm experience with them.

Oak was a nice place to be. It wasnโt fancy but it had a nice common area with large TVs and lots of sitting area. It also had a game room and a musical room. They also had laundry in the basement which was nice.
