Alder Hall Dorm Reviews at Bentley University

I think if you are looking for a place to stay at UW, Alder is one of the better places to live on West campus. Alder has such close access to the district market, it being right in the same building as Alder. The dorm is also not too far from any other resourceful buildings for students living on West campus such as Local Point, the main dining area of West campus, and Area 01, where students can leisure playing games. I would say the building is also probably the closest dorm on west campus that is nearby the main school grounds campus. Although west campus is set towards more the city of Seattle, where there does exist sometimes some suspicious behavior, Alder doesn't feel that far from the main campus, only having to cross about 2-3 crosswalks.

Alder is a beautiful building in the West of the UW campus. It is much busier and louder than the North campus, but it didn't bother me too much. My double room was spectacular with a private bathroom that was worth it. The "picking" your dorm experience can be tricky as you don't get first pick usually. So, have back up options to your back up options!

This year most of us are in singles because of Covid restrictions. We aren't allowed to really hang out in common areas. Not having the ability to socialize in the dorms has impacted the overall experience of the dorm.
