Clark Kerr Dorm Reviews at UC Berkeley

I have loved living in Clark Kerr. It is in a safe location and the campus is beautiful, perfect if you enjoy hiking, walking and nature. Since it is a bit removed from campus it can be a bit tiring walking to and from classes, however there are buses that depart every 30 minutes that take you to campus. Though this can be a downside, it creates a tight-knit community within Clark Kerr and you become close with your roomates/floormates.

Clark Kerri is clean and nice, but far from campus! Rooms are really spacious and the grounds are a relaxing place to stroll. It is also close to a recreational pool, tennis courts, and outdoor bbq space. I didn't love co-ed bathrooms but it wasn't the end of the world. If you are able to catch the bus, that is the easiest way to get to campus, but the walk isn't terrible. Its easiest to get to North campus from CK.

Loved the spacious dorm campus and rooms. It's farther from main campus, but is nice and quiet and peaceful. Rooms are much bigger than other dorms. I also loved the spacious dining halls, and the food was decent. Clark Kerr always had fruit and brunch was good.

I loved living in the Clark Kerr dorms because it is so close to the fire trails and nature. It is also located by a track, volleyball courts, and skateboarding park. It is a little further from campus than the other dorms (about 10-15 minutes depending on how fast you walk), but I actually loved this because it was quieter and helped me feel a little more at ease when I was stressed with school and needed some space. It was also lovely because the dorm buildings were spread out instead of just being one big tall unit. I got lucky because my room used to be a lounge but they converted it into a bedroom so I had a very spacious triple. The bathrooms and the buildings were well kept and all the staff I encountered were very kind. I highly recommend applying to the Global Environmental Themed House within Clark Kerr. If you get in, you live on a floor with students from a diverse array of backgrounds and majors that all share a passion for environmentalism. I loved being a part of this themed house-- especially because you get to go on 2 retreats to the mountains and you have seminars in Clark Kerr every week with student activists, renowned professors, student groups, and alumni. These seminars are very inspiring because the speakers share their work with you and present opportunities to get involved in the environmental community on campus and beyond. All in all, Clark Kerr was great and I recommend you apply to this dorm if you don't mind a little bit of a longer walk to campus.

It was a decent place to live and not too far away from activities on campus and off-campus. For the most part I enjoyed living there it had a nice homey feel and overall I could have my privacy where I was still able to live comfortable.

Clark Kerr is the nicest dorm at Berkeley. It is a bit farther away than other dorms but its rooms are bigger than the others and its dining hall is the best. It also has a small gym, tennis courts, beach volleyball and a pool.

Nice, near frats so it's pretty loud on weekends/Fridays. It's kind of far from school, so you're going to have to rely on the bus or walk. The only bus that goes by is the 79 and it's late or just doesn't show up a lot of the time. The food there is way better than Crossroads.
