Ehrman Hall Dorm Reviews at UC Berkeley

I was a resident for two weeks during the springboard summer program. The housekeepers were very nice, I had a few friendly interactions with them. They deliver new sheets every week and clean the bathrooms every afternoon. Itβs a 10-15 minute walk to Cafe 3 (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Itβs about 15 to get onto the main campus. At the end of each floorβs hall thereβs a fire escape staircase made of concrete. Overall I was very satisfied with my experience there. The one thing I found weird is that the laundry rooms are all on boysβ floors and I couldnβt figure out how to connect the app to the specific machine I was trying to use. So, youβll need to use a card or cash for laundry ($1.25 for washer). Or figure out how to be smarter than the machine. Thanks for reading!

I mainly stayed over in friends room or floor and got to know a lot of different people on that floor. Floors with a study lounges have more people and can get louder depending on what they are doing. I would generally choose Unit 1 over Unit 2 because it's basically the same thing, but closer to campus. Bathrooms where cleaned daily, and the staff where really nice!

Living on the first floor of Ehrman was not bad. The bathrooms were generally clean, except for being disrespected by the occasional student. The common room has a pool table, ping pong, and vending machines which is fun. There used to be an upright piano before someone tore up the keys out of frustration from the noise. If you end up on floors 2-8 though be warned, when the elevator went out more than once it didn't get fixed for months.
