It's not that bad, but compared to other units it's not the best. The lounges are not the best however, I really enjoy living here and the community is strong. Plus it's close to campus which is really nice.

Unit 3 is the closest dorm to campus so it was always great for me to be able to leave 10 minutes before class. Not only this, but it has its own store and dining hall which makes it very convenient! Unit 3 was great for me because I love to socialize, this has to be one of the most social dorms. Overall, the experience was great. Ocasionally, our elevators would not work but the people and the setting made it great!

What I didn’t like : the elevator was slow and almost always broken. Cramped small triple room with a bunk bed and loft bed. The room lighting was poor. I found it pretty hard to store my books/class materials and functionally use my desk at the same time. I don’t understand the logic behind those dorm desk chairs. They’re sturdy but rock back and forth and the seats and legs are wide taking up space where you could put your feet. What I did like : this dorm is very close to campus, you can get to your closest class within a 5-10 minute walk. The dining hall downstairs is great for vegans, though very busy during meal times. The common area on the 7th floor has some tables and a small couch. The common area on the base floor has some study spaces, a pool table, and ping pong equipment. Below the dorm is a huge laundry room and academic center, which has computers, printers, and tutors. People often talk loudly in this common area, yet its great for productive discussion. Card swipes is required for residents to enter and security is stationed at the front desk at night.
