150 Massachusetts Avenue Dorm Reviews at Berklee

It's totally depends on who you live with. I had nightmare days there, I had two roommates, so party people, even 2am they called people to have a party when I was pressed by assignments. You could talk to RA, but they just supported me to talk with roommates, they didn't have a right to change roommates. Facilities in 150 was okay. we needed to clean our room by ourselves, no cleaning service. if bathroom get stuck, maintenance come in a day or two. Sometimes people needed to borrow bathroom in other rooms. There're 24hr practice room in the basement, that was great (but super old) I lived in dorm only for a year then moved off-campus. that was more comfortable to me.

My experience at the 150 has mostly been good with some minor challenges. The location of the residence hall is undoubtedly the standout feature in my opinion. It has been incredibly convenient, allowing quick access and nearby amenities. A notable aspect of the residence hall that didn't quite align with my preferences was the absence of room suites. While I don't mind sharing a bathroom with other people, having my own private room has always been a priority for me, and I missed that personal space. Overall, my experience at 150 Massachusetts Avenue residence hall has been largely positive.

After living in 150 for a whole school year, I'd say that the experience was overall a really great one. Its really hard adjusting to living with someone 5 feet away from you if thats not something you're used to, but it can be the best, OR worst experience depending on how you choose to adapt with all of the changes. Maintenance on campus might have been a great experience if they ever showed up when my dorm had a problem. They would fix big issues as fast as they could, sometimes that would take a week when fixing the elevators, but would never respond to repair requests that singular dorms would have. Definitely learn how to take control of the situations that will occur in your dorms and try to fix the problems you have before calling maintenance. The RA's are always amazing at Berklee. I suggest getting to know yours very well and going to all of the lounge get togethers that they have. Make sure you get there early or any food that is there will probably be gone. I'd have to say that 150, even with all of the lounge get togethers this past year, was the lest social college dorm on campus, so if you are looking for a lot of community in your building, a short walk to the main building and don't mind sharing a bathroom, 160 Mass Ave. would most likely be the building your looking for. If you don't mind taking a walk to get to the main building, 270 is a very tight knit dorm with the most park right across the street. All dorm building will have their own unique problems that will piss you off the entire time you live there, but thats apart of life. I promise you, whatever dorm you choose to live in at Berklee, you will meet some of your best friends, and you will miss it the moment you move out at the end of the year. 150 is the best!!!! Team private bathrooms!!!!!

I was in this dorm during the hybrid spring semester of 2021, so common spaces and the housing office were closed. It was nice having my own bathroom. It did get pretty cold in my room during the winter months because the windows are old. Being across the street from the Caf was a plus. In a normal semester, I would've been very close to my classes, as a lot of classrooms are located in the 150 building.

I love the privacy of each room. The only complaint I have is my view of a brick wall out my window. Every room is very good at keeping privacy and I feel very at home with all of my neighbors on the floor.

Most of the rooms are larger than the generic college dorm room, plus they have private bathrooms in each room, thermostats that control both heat and cold AC, and some classrooms are just downstairs so you don't even have to leave the building for that annoying 9am in the middle of winter.

I really enjoyed it. Personal bathrooms with decent sized rooms. I would be nice to have the roommates that you desire. It is not loud even if the hallway is busy. The beds a twin sized. Each room has at least one window.
