Barnes Towers Hall Dorm Reviews at Boise State

While staying at Towers Hall was fun, what could ruin the experience for a new person staying at the dorm was if you stayed either on the 3rd or 4th floors. The main reason these floors could ruin the experience was because these two floors were the main floors to have issues, from noise complaints to machinery not working. There was also the issue of the location. It's possibly the farthest one to where the class are, so if you had a class that was on the other side of campus, you either had to get up early and walk all the way to the other side in order to not be late, or you had to wait for the shuttle bus, which rarely could take more up more time than just walking. Besides these issues, it was fun and interesting to stay at.

I had a roommate who was an alcoholic, loved to party, and big into drugs. I feel like the person in charge would never really take it seriously until the police came because a drug dealer entered my room. I felt uncomfortable and was being questioned by police. BSU says they take their drug policy seriously but this went on both semesters.

Overall I love this dorm. The rooms are a lot bigger than average dorms and there is a lot more space so you and your roommate are not too crammed together. Maintenance is quick with any problems that you have, and the staff is always helpful with whatever problems you are having. There is also a volleyball court and a basketball court to use in your free time. The only possible downside is that it is the farthest dorm from the main buildings on campus. But if you are looking to get fit, walking to and from the dorm everyday will definitely get you there. Overall I would give Barnes Towers Hall a 9/10 and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is coming to Boise State.
