Dehority Dorm Reviews at Ball State

I do think that Dehority is great, but the only downside is the actual dorms are small in comparison to the non-honors dorms. It is in a great location, with a dining hall directly across from it and a 5-10 minute walking distance from most buildings.

My experience living at Dehority has been wonderful. It is very quiet throughout the day and night. I always feel very safe when I am in the building, and I trust the staff to ensure nothing dangerous will happen to me. Since living at Dehority, I have made several new friends and have only good interactions with other residents.

It’s been really fun. At the beginning of the year there were a lot of events to try to get students out of their dorms and getting to know everyone. One of the downsides is that the bathrooms do not have any paper towels.

As far as Ball State dorms go, Dehority is not the fanciest, nor is it the worst. Dehority has air conditioning and heating throughout the building -- including the rooms. Everything is very clean and looks nice, although the rooms are a little small. We call our rooms chicken coops. There is decent storage space, though I struggled to get used to the downsizing at first. Overall, I like Deho.

I had a good first year in Dehority. It was a nice clean dorm that wasn't too far from places on campus. I liked all of the people and the staff who worked there. The rooms were a good size and the bathrooms were nicer than I would have expected.

Dehority is a great dorm in a great location on campus. There are multiple food courts nearby and it is an amazing quiet place to study. The residents at Dehority are very helpful and friendly and want everyone to succeed. I loved living in Dehority and hope to do so again next semester/

It was an unusual experience due to Covid-19, but I enjoyed my time at Deho. Everyone that worked there was super helpful when moving in and out. The other students were all super chill which created a calm relaxed enviroment.

I really like Dehority. I like the staff, and I think the building is kept up well. I also like the size of the rooms and I think they are nice. The only thing is that sometimes the water in the bathroom takes a while to heat up so it’s cold sometimes. But overall I love it here.

My experience at Dehority has been really nice. The janitors and the students living here are all really nice and work together. Everybody is supportive of each other. The RA's are always nice and helpful. The people at the front desk are always beyond nice and do everything they can to help you. Everything is kept really clean. (Which for me is one of the biggest things). Whenever you need anything somebody is always there to help you. I've only ever had one bad encounter at dehority and that was just a misunderstanding. The lobby is always nice to go to, and so are the media rooms. The laundry room is always kept clean and everybody uses it responsibly.

Dehority is clean and maintained and the staff is really nice. With its semi central location, it provides an easy walk to almost anywhere in the campus. The honors college kids live in Deho so theres always people to help you out with classes if needed. The RA's are really nice and friendly as well.

My RA was very nice and would always stop to talk if he saw me! The people at the front desk were also very nice and helpful if I ever needed anything. The common rooms are also very nice, with a pool table and ping pong as well!

This dorm was very nice to help in adjusting to college life. Lots of opportunities to meet people that were set up by the RA's. The location in relation to the rest of campus is really nice. Overall good experience.

It was always super quiet, which could be a negative or positive experience depending on what you are looking for in your freshman year. For me, it was great because it was easy to study and relax. Two very important things for your first year!

It's nice and comfortable. The rooms are slightly smaller than the other ones on campus. However, I do enjoy having control over the temperature in my room. The common rooms are great and they have a game room.

For a dorm, it is decently sized. The common areas are super nice. Also you get free printing in the lobby if you live here. That comes in handy when you do not want to go to the library or do not have time before class.

I love living in Dehority. There are some minor issues here and there, but what place doesn't have them? The people are nice. The quiet hours are reasonable and enforced. The walls are thick enough to where you cannot hear your neighbors. The kitchenettes are very nice and everything is kept really clean. I don't think I would enjoy living anywhere else.

Dehority is a living learning community for those who are a part of the honors college and the staff have made it a wonderful place to live even in the midst of a pandemic. The staff is also willing to help you whenever you need and is very friendly to all residences.

So far, Dehority has been nearly perfect. My roommate and I meshed perfectly, our neighbors are respectable, and the custodians are hardworking and genuinely care. The view of trees outside my window is beautiful and there is perfect air flow through the window. Dehority is a relaxing and pleasant complex and I'd recommend it to anyone.
