David John Hall Dorm Reviews at BYU

I loved living at David John Hall because of the incredible environment. People there are so friendly and something fun is always going on. It’s the perfect place on campus. It is expensive compared to the quality though!

David John Hall is definitely the best hall in Helaman- at least for girls. I love the setup of the rooms (2 rooms of 2 with a Jack and Jill bathroom). Especially during the pandemic I feel like that is a better option then the traditional community bathroom setup. The only time I hear anything is when my neighbors/hallmates slam doors, or when I'm in the hallways right outside their doors. I feel very safe at David John Hall, and it's pretty clean. Most of the issues just have to do with the fact that the building is old. I cannot recommend David John Hall enough! Especially if you want to stay in Helaman Halls- it's the best building. Meal plan required but it's really close to the Cannon Center/Cafeteria/Creamery, and it's the only building where you can have a meal plan AND a bathroom in your suite.
