Heritage Halls Dorm Reviews at BYU

There are occasional parties/activities for Heritage Hall residents which are fun. Itβs in a great location. For me, the housing is more ideal compared to Helaman Halls. It is a bit tricky to meet people other than your roommates though, but there are many opportunities.

Itβs been a great experience. I feel safe walking around even late at night. There is a beautiful view of the valley and mountains. Itβs either close to campus or other places I go a lot which is really nice.

I lived in Heritage Halls my freshman year in college (2 years ago) and for it being my first year I truly enjoyed it. It is very clean and the apartment style dorms give you enough privacy when needed but also a social environment to create connections with others. Brigham Young University made sure to think of everything an incoming freshman might need. There are study rooms in every floor, washer and dryers in every building, elevators which make moving in/grocery shopping a delight, plus every dorm has 2 restrooms. The only critique I would have about this housing option is that since it is on campus and created specifically for freshman, personal car parking is not available. I do recall having much trouble at the end of the day finding a place to park my car. The nearest visitors parking was always full so I would have to park at the BYU football stadium which is about a 10-12 minute walk. At the end I highly recommend living here your freshman year if the parking situation is not an issue for you.

I loved living at Heritage Halls; the rent is not too expensive, and the location is excellent. My only issue involved the selection process to get a room, and it is also impossible to get a singe room, also they are 6 people living there and only one fridge.

Heritage is super inviting! I love living here. Everything is kept very clean and working well, plus the RA's really care about us and want to make sure we're doing well. If I were to say one thing that annoys me, the laundry room's ID scanner often breaks. But the maintenance is always quick to fix it!

Heritage Halls is a great place to live if you are just starting at BYU. As a freshman, it is really nice to be able to live on campus and get to classes easier. Our dorms are great sizes and have great accommodations. I would definitely recommend this to someone interested in staying on campus.

I love it here! My only thing is that there was trash in my room and mold in the showers when I moved in. I tried contacting maintenance and they said they would come within 2-3 business days but no one came.

The vacuums didnβt work the time I was there, so we swept the floors. Being on the first floor there was a slight ant problem if you werenβt clean. My dust allergies were non existent thanks to it being clean and my roommates being mostly clean in the few months Iβve been in the summer term.

I had the best experience at Heritage Halls! It was always very clean and I always felt very safe in the building! I think the only part that wasn't good was it wasn't as social as I wish it was because everyone just stayed in their nice rooms

I had a fantastic experience at Heritage Halls. It was a great way to meet new people my freshman year and it was right on campus. The apartments were clean and the staff was friendly and efficient. I also loved having our own kitchen to cook my own meals!

I lived in Heritage Halls for two consecutive semesters as a Resident Assistant. It is the closest you can get to campus- an amazing location. The apartments are spacious and have multiple areas for storage. They're maintained by the university so it's not hard to get something fixed when it's broken. The general community at Heritage Halls is wonderful, with lots of activities, get-togethers, and other students that are looking for friends, you're sure to make new friends. I felt very safe at Heritage Halls, you need a keycard to get into the building and your apartment, and then a key to get into your room. They have employees that maintain the safety of the dorms as well. There are nice common areas on each floor and many piano rooms and study rooms. The only thing that I didn't like about Heritage Halls was that it's nearly impossible to get parking close by.

It was very clean the rooms were quite large and maintenance was quick to respond. Easy and helpful move in and the resident assistants were very nice. Beds were comfortable and each room had a bathroom so no communal bathroom sharing.

Heritage Halls is a great housing unit, and I definitely enjoyed living there. The variety of meal plans and dorm room situations made it easy to find something that fit my preferences. My freshman year, I lived in a 3-bedroom dorm with five other roommates, and I loved every second of it. It was a great opportunity to feel like I was independent but also secure in both my housing and food situation. The monthly cleaning checks were also a nice reset for my dorm, as it allowed my dormmates and I to have a fresh restart and deep clean the dorm room for the next month. I will definitely be living in Heritage Halls again. Everything was well maintained and the security systems made me feel more than safe when inside the building. The noise level was decent, and no one was overly loud--the walls are pretty thick (in my opinion), and the rooms have a good amount of space. I enjoyed my stay at Heritage Halls, and recommend it to any future BYU students.

Heritage Halls was a great experience for me where I met lots of great friends who were in similar situations. It was close to campus, cheaper than anything else out there, and a pretty great place to live. It's clean, quiet, and safe, and unlike Helaman Halls, Heritage dorms have a kitchen and living room area where you can hang out with friends.

I stayed in Heritage Halls for 18 and under housing for my first semester. I have minimal complaints. It was messy, but only because it was four guys in the same apartment. Great community. I was on the fourth floor at the end, so stairs were not fun. Not too far away from campus, close to convenience stores on campus.

I really enjoyed my experience in heritage halls. I thought it was well kept, and sociable without being constantly noisy. It's close to campus and has laundry in the basement, which was convenient. The kitchen was nice too.

Heritage Halls is well kept and spacious living environment with plenty of storage and shared space for all residents to feel comfortable and maintain privacy. The building requires a key card to get into the main area and into the rooms, which encourages safety. On each floor there is also a music room with a piano and a separate floor common area with is great for studying. I would encourage all Freshman to choose Heritage Halls over other on campus living due to the closeness to main campus buildings and apartment style living.

I love Heritage Halls! It seems like the walls are kind of thin, which is really only notable because you can hear your neighbors if they raise their voice at all. But I love how convenient it is being on campus. It is also really nice having a kitchen right in your apartment, instead of just one for the entire floor.

Perfect distance from classes especially since I did not have a car. I met and made many long lasting friendships and peers. A very supporting environment both socially and educationally. Felt like a home away from home.
