Heritage Halls Dorm Reviews at BYU

Heritage Halls is a great place to stay as a freshmen. It is right on campus and a beautiful place to live. However, it is hard to find parking. I normally park about 15 minutes away. If you are wanting a more social place to live on-campus at BYU, I would suggest living at Helaman Halls. Heritage is a great place to be and it is nice to have your own living area and kitchen.

Heritage Halls is a wonderful place for incoming Freshmen. It is modeled after the apartment style room, with kitchens, bathrooms, and a living room. Heritage Halls is also new and kept up to date, with regular cleaning checks to help keep rooms clean and orderly.

Heritage Halls provides a wonderful Freshman experience. The apartment style layout provides students with a kitchen and non-communal bathrooms. Monthly cleaning checks help keep the apartments clean and orderly. During none COVID times, rules for having others over are generous and reasonable.

I really loved it at Heritage Halls. I was always really impressed because of the cleanliness of the building. Even the easy to smudge windows were cleaned daily and the elevator. The workers were never in the way, or obnoxious, but did their job well, and I really loved my Resident's Assistant both semesters. They planned fun activities to get to know people on our floor, and I had a really positive experience making friends. They have a nice piano room, and games you can check out, along with an activity room with a lot of natural light. One downside is that when we had to call the maintenance, they sometimes wouldn't be able to come for about 4 days which is a little annoying when the shower won't drain, but overall, I had a very positive experience.

It is an up to date building that is taken care of very well. Despite living in dorms, it is quieter than expected so you can still get work done. Living there for the time I have, I would definitely continue to live here and recommend it to a friend.

I loved living at heritage so much that I decided to stay again this year. It is apartment style, with typically 3 shared rooms in each apartment. Be sure to bring some totes/shelve type of things though, because there isn't as much shelf space as you'd probably like.

Honestly a solid choice for housing at BYU. Some things may depend on your roommates such as noise level (a couple of my roommates like to practice their guitar and drums in the room and while I could still sleep fairly easily, if you can't, you can always just ask people to be quieter and they'll usually be want to help you out) and bathrooms (because they're shared between six guys). A couple of the only downsides is that there's practically no parking and at times you may be forced to walk 10-20 minutes to your car, and the grocery store within walking distance is the BYU creamery which can be pricy, otherwise, the nearest Walmart is about a couple miles away, but overall a pretty fantastic place, very close to campus

I had the opportunity to work as an RA in heritage halls and I was shocked to see how much care went into the protection of the buildings, as well as how quickly maintenance issues would be attended to. The residents were happy for the most part, and the building stayed incredibly clean, which was a great plus! The building I stayed in was a little far from campus.

I lived at Heritage Halls during my freshman year and I loved it. It is quiet enough to allow me to get my homework done, but it also has a good social scene with open areas to hang out in. The dorms are clean and very new as well, so students don't have to worry about it falling apart.

Heritage Halls is a very nice place with a lot of areas to meet people and have fun, it's been hard this semester with the pandemic, but it's a great place to live, and it's comfortable because it's so near to campus. I love my roommates and our set up. My biggest complaint is about parking, it's a really hard situation and requires a lot of walking.

I loved living at Heritage Halls. It encompasses the "freshman college experience" completely. I met wonderful friends and classmates, who I am still friends with 4 year after leaving the dorms. It is on campus and is just a quick 5 min walk from the center of campus and the library. Heritage Halls also has an amazing dining hall that is 2 minutes from every dorm. The food is excellent, homemade, and always reliable with students crazy school schedules. I loved living at Heritage Halls and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for on campus housing at BYU.

Heritage Halls is a wonderful place to live for your freshman year at BYU. It is in close proximity to most of the amenities and buildings commonly used by students. The apartment has everything you need- a kitchen, two full bathrooms, and a living room. It is a great place to meet new people and to start your college journey comfortably. I have loved my Heritage apartment since I moved in. It is a wonderful experience for new freshmen.

Heritage Halls is probably the best place to live at BYU you are so close to all the campus buildings, and with such a huge campus it is a perfect option if you don't have a car! It is newer and cheaper than Helamen cause you don't need a meal plan, and you have the Creamery on 9th really close, so if you don't have time to make a shopping trip you can still get food! The suites are spacious! You do have to abide by the honor code, but that's just BYU. So if you don't want that don't come to the school.

Heritage Halls is a good environment for young freshman. It's very social and well kept. As well, it's a very decent price for what you get. It's clean and has a really good feeling to it, creating a cool place to live as a freshman.

I really enjoyed living in Heritage Halls. I thought that the kitchens were nice and I also felt like there was enough room in the apartment, where roommates were not living on top of each other. I would live there again as a freshman.

I spent two years in Heritage Halls, and I really enjoyed my time there. There are different room configurations and I stayed in the "apartment style" 6 roommate setup. There were three rooms that each fit 2 students and were furnished with a bed, desk, and dresser for each student. The common shared areas included two large bathrooms with showers, a central vanity in addition to the two bathroom sinks, and a open kitchen/living room. Everything is spotless, there are mandatory monthly cleaning inspections and it helps keep any grime from building up. Additionally, despite being in a large complex, the dorms are very well sound proofed and you rarely hear other people outside your apartment. The RAs were very helpful and friendly, and they often were given a small budget to do a weekly get together where they brought some ice-cream and hung out. Maintenance was also on top of everything, as these are new buildings and they care about keeping them up to date. There is also a 24/7 automated corner store in one of the Heritage buildings. It was unbelievably convenient for when you didn't have the time to go to an actual store and needed groceries. I'm a medium build, 6' tall guy and safety wasn't a thing I often worried about walking around the dorms. However, The entire complex is lite up around all the walkways, it is very open and you can see for hundreds of feet in any direction, and I often walked around campus at 2 in the morning and never felt unsafe. BYU campus as a whole is very safe and has a good campus police force. The only downsides are the fact you have 5 random roommates that could be annoying to live with, and that you share a room/bathroom. However, in two years I only had one bad roommate and both years the roommates that shared my room specifically were great guys. (Both from Idaho weirdly enough). Overall, I recommend.

Heritage is a great place to live. It is relatively quiet and is kept very clean. They understand that students like to have an easy place to live so that they can focus on schooling and work. They keep laundry rooms in the basement of every building so that you can do your laundry close to your apartment. They do require cleaning checks of your apartment, but this contributes to the overall cleanliness.

Friendly staff, lots of space, and close to campus. Only complaint would be loud residents and mail is difficult. Cooking has been fantastic though and there is enough room to add another couch. Another downside couches are ugly and uncomfortable

Heritage is an excellent place to stay at BYU. I was originally staying at Wyview (on-campus housing about a mile off campus), and moved to Heritage to be closer to campus for the fall and winter. It costed more, (around $300-$400 a month) but was worth being 5 minutes away from my major's department building. The dorm is fairly quiet, but my room was a bit louder because it was located right next to the common room. School-hosted parties and activities are celebrated in Heritage Halls's Main Building or very close to it on campus, so there's always somewhere to go and meet new people. Laundry facilities are located in the basement and a grocery store/creamery is located 5 minutes away. If you don't have a car, Heritage is located about a fourth mile away from two of the UVX bus stations, which run almost all day and take you from downtown Provo all the way up to UVU.

Been here four semesters. Very nice apartment for a decent price. Very close to campus. Sometimes hard to find a lone space to focus. The ward is all young adults, but there are more girls than guys, if that is something you are interested in.
