Clarke Tower Dorm Reviews at Case Western

Very old. I enjoyed the suite style, but building definitely needs renovations. Elevators are small and slow, which was especially difficult living on a higher floor. Community was nice as many people lived there.

There were many events hosted by the upperclassmen and yet it was quiet enough for you to study. I found it to be a great experience as a stressed out first year student. Also, the common areas were a nice area to study and socialize.

I thought my dorm was located relatively close to other buildings (and a lot of late night dining options), so I was happy with where it was located on campus. It wasn’t the fanciest or the cleanest, but once I adjusted it wasn’t terrible. I’d say it’s a pretty average dorm with a slightly above-average location.

Living at Clarke Tower was pretty satisfactory, especially based on the price. The only downside was the elevator that would crash down once in a while. The staff was respectful and easy to approach/talk to.

My experience at Clarke Tower as a resident has been wonderful. My dorm room is the typical dorm; Not too big or small. However, what makes my dorm great is the people with whom I share my living experience! I love my roommate, and the RA's are beneficial as it is evident they are here for our support. Also, the view from my particular dorm makes studying delightful since it adds to the overall atmosphere of my dorm! If I had to name one grievance with my living experience, it would definitely be noise pollution. From my dorm, it is very easy to hear outside activities such as street work or noise from student gatherings. This can sometimes render getting a good night's rest difficult. However, I would rate my overall experience to be quite congenial!

It can be hard to catch an elevator so if you're really in a hurry, you're better off taking the stairs (and burning a few calories). Overall, I prefer the suite-style dorms at Clarke Tower and appreciate the kitchenette provided on my floor.

Clarke was a great sophomore dorm, it is far better than other alternatives but keep in mind it is not a good study environment. Clarke has a strong party scene compared to other dorms. Clarke is great for those who do not mind the nightlife and are less serious about getting a perfect 4.0

I lived on the second floor, and the garbage truck was so loud every morning. I went in 2020 so I only had to share the bathroom with 3 other people, but the max capacity of each suite is 7-8, and there's no way one toilet and one shower is enough for that many people.
