Cutler House Dorm Reviews at Case Western

The stairs smell funny but probably aren’t toxic. It’s a 2 minute walk from Leutner and far from the Den. It’s a 25 minute walk from the engineering quad. The wooden furniture is old but I believe it’s getting replaced. The bathrooms are 1 per section so you have a marginal amount of privacy.

How quiet and clean the common areas are depends on the people on your floor. Common areas gets cleaned once every couple of days by cleaning staff, they do a good job, but will not pick up after you if you make an obnoxious mess. Gets very hot (no a/c) in the first couple weeks of summer. Very good climate after that.

Generally speaking, my experience at Cutler was pretty positive. I like the fact that it is a quad-style residential hall, meaning that there are four or five rooms facing each other like a quad. Although the downside is that I had to share the bathroom with 10 other girls, our quad was pretty respectful of each other and I rarely had problems with it.
