Murphy Hall Dorm Reviews at Cedarville

Murphy is a nice quiet environment with big rooms. There are big windows in each room. The bathroom is shared and large. The laundry situation could use an upgrade. There are never enough for all the students. The dorm is in a nice location though with kind people!

It is a unique hall. Murphy residents give up a private bathroom and shower in exchange for a slightly bigger room, this is the only hall that does this. Although the public bathroom is well kept, one finds themselves in awkward positions. One must walk to and from the showers in only a towel because there is no room for anything else, if you were to bring clothes they would simply get wet from having to remand on the floor. Murphy is also a 15-minute walking distance away from the main campus, which is fine in the fall but when it gets colder it is difficult to pass the busy street feeling safe with ice everywhere. I wish I was in a different hall but it is what I was assigned.

I have had a very good experience in this dorm. It is very clean and is taken care of very well. The cleaning ladies and staff are very nice. I do not have any complaints other than sometimes the sinks in the bathroom do not have hot water. This is very safe and I have never had any concerns for my safety.
