Summit Hall Dorm Reviews at CSU

I am staying here for an eight week summer semester. Summit Hall has been pretty great so far. The only complaint I can think of is that it is in a bad location- far away from classrooms and main campus. Otherwise, it is a nice, clean, and safe space.

This dorm was one of the newest at the time. It was one of the few dorms with AC. It is far from campus, but the private bathrooms are nice. It does not have a food hall of its own, but it is right next to the AV food hall (best on campus)

Summit was most definitely a quite dorm but the first level is slightly under ground level making privacy on the first floor hard to come by. Because of this design the campus has even had reports of people looking in windows making safety sometimes feel quite low.

My experience has been really great. I got really lucky and met some really good friends here, and I know that doesn’t always happen. The staff is wonderful, including the RAs. I feel lucky that I get to have a single room to have my own space, and share a bathroom with two other girls who I get along with very well.

Summit Hall is beautiful and well cared for. It has thick walls that help with sound disturbances and is close to the class halls and dining rooms. The parking lot is close to the building and is easy to get into and out of.

I attended Indians Tech for Two years and had loved both my freshmen and the designated sophomore new dorm. You have your own room with a shred bathroom to your roommates bedroom. The dorms are set for students to interact with each other on the commons area that features pool table, ping pong and living area along with full kitchen for each floor. The dorms were constantly cleaned. I felt safe as of Indians tech was in a bubble. Highly recommend this small student. Oft college with many sports and all the new dorms

It's not so bad if you have a good roommate and you keep your stuff clean. I love the staff, they are always very helpful and can be a lot of fun. Other than one time where the hot water was off for a day we haven't had a single problem with maintenance.

Summit Hall is an amazing place to live! The dorms are great size. It is located on the far South side of campus, however, the walk is very manageable to the library, to the dining halls, and the Rec Center!

Summit Hall is a great dorm option for incoming freshman. It is normally quiet (besides the occasion people that play music a little too loud). The dorm building and cafeteria, as well as the overall cleanliness, is good. The dorms are cleaned on a schedule, however you'll need to bring a little cleaning supplies when you first move in. The best part about Summit Hall is its location. It is located downtown and was great for my classes. I could easily walk no more than 10 minutes to get to any of my classes, therefore eliminating the stress of transportation and tardiness.

Overall, the staff is extremely kind. The cleaning staff does a great job at ensuring the cleanliness of the building especially during the time of COVID-19. The desk staff and RAs are helpful in keeping the residents up-to-date with information about events in the hall and around the campus.

So far I've lived at Summit for over a month now and I've enjoyed it. The dorms are newer with being built in 2017 and the Village is a great place to live, especially with it being my first year. All the furniture in the rooms are nice and the communal bathroom are well-kept since they're cleaned every morning. Even though it's a bit difficult to socialize right now with COVID, the Village is busier than other parts of campus where people can socially distance in groups. All of the halls in the Village are great but I chose Summit since it was close to the dining hall, gym, and the parking lot. In addition, I have a great view looking toward the inside of the Village.

Summit Hall is a great place for freshman. It offers a dining hall and fitness room and the atmosphere was exactly what I wanted my first year. The one downside is that it is a bit of a walk from the Downtown campus and a quick bus ride from the Evansdale campus. Other than that, it offers everything a student could need.

With the current global pandemic going on, the maintenance of cleanliness at summit hall is doing an amazing job. Summit hall is also very academically inclined, it’s very easy to study and I love living in this dorm (especially with the AC).
