Dwight Lofts Dorm Reviews at Columbia

For the time I've spent here, security has been a top priority, which is nice for downtown Chicago. The kitchen is nice as well as the living room, I have my own room that is decent for a college dorm.

This dorm building is great for if you want apartment style dorms your first or second year of college, and like a rustic aesthetic. Sometimes the utilities will break, but maintenance will usually be pretty quick about fixing it. There are sometimes weird noises, and security seems to pick and choose what they care about. Other than that, there are nice views, and ultimately it is in downtown Chicago, so getting an apartment through the college is worth it in my opinion.

For starters, they don’t enforce majority of the rules. Maintenance sucks as I had white mold growing in my room due to unsealed brick and the snow melting. I was then moved into an even smaller room and wasn’t compensated at all. There aren’t even any light fixtures either. So to say the least, it was a nightmare.

It's just okay. The elevators are constantly down, the maintenance staff is really rude (especially to afab people), and the laundry room floods all the time. Security and cleaning staff is super sweet and I adore them so much. Students are kind and the community is good even if most people are pretty shy. Love the sky lounge and graffiti room though.

The Dwight lofts sits at the center of downtown Chicago. The location gives you great access to many different restaurants and shops. The lofts are quiet and clean. We have access to our own appliances Wi-Fi and bathrooms

The Dwight is a delightful place to reside during the school year. It really depends on whom you live with and building a great relationship with those people. Otherwise, you might not enjoy your time there. The sky lounge is a great and quiet area if you looking for a quiet space to get homework done or play games with friends.

I stayed in Dwight Lofts my freshman year. I appreciated the staff's Hospitality. It was should a welcoming environment. They had events within the dorm which was cool for an out of state student. Dwight Lofts was the most appealing dorm available at the time.

My experience was pleasant for the time that I was there. My dorm was apartment style so I had more privacy than those in other dorms. Very quiet and organized place and I enjoyed it. The only issue I had is that lighting in the rooms could sometimes be bad unless you had your own lamp.
