Santa Rosa Village Dorm Reviews at CSUCI

Since the community is smaller than most public universities, the dorm buildings are smaller, however the size of the rooms is decent and the bathrooms always remain clean. There are about 4 stalls in each bathroom and three showers which could be expanded but it is doable. Overall Santa Rosa remains clean and safe with family and study rooms on each floor, elevators and stairs, a trash chute, and many other accommodations for students.

Dorms are smaller and there's no AC so bring a fan. The Common areas have Keurigs which are a lifesaver! There are tables and TVs that you can use to have movie nights with friends. The dorms are close to the university dinning.

The R.As try hard to keep the floor peaceful and friendly. The other tenants can be messy especially if the R.A doesn’t keep track of the cleaning schedule. The room has enough space for 2 people to coexist, just wish there was a bigger closet. The shared spaces have TVs, computers, printers, and all cooking appliances that one would need. The code for the dorm is very long so it might be difficult to remember and if you forget you have to ask in a floor chat to see if anyone can open, the only downfall can be if it’s very late.

It was a pretty good experience with the exception of a few things including students who also lives there. I stayed on floor 2 of L building and it was great, only a few students were either to loud during quiet hours and a handful not being clean

The year I stayed in the dorms was an experience I will never forget. Although there were some things that can be fixed or changed, I had a wonderful year. The rooms were nice and the bathrooms were good as long as everyone cleaned up their messes. The study room was the perfect place to get some quiet time and the dorms had the largest student housing parking lot next to it. Walking to class was not too bad, it is right across from the bell tower so its only a 5-minute walk to wherever you needed to go!

The common areas are a great spot to hang out with friends and there are great study spaces all over the campus. The room was a perfect size and allowed plenty of space for two people. The dorms itself was in a great location and was a good distance from all the locations on campus.

The dormitory didn’t get loud too often. When it did though it was very loud. It doesn’t matter what time of day either. One time they got loud at night and once in the morning like at 9 am. I had a good roommate though and everyone on my floor was cool. They weren’t very clean which made us all have to clean up the common areas on our floor. Our RA gave the whole floor a schedule. Since the common area wasn’t being cleaned.

As a freshman in college, I was very nervous about living in the dorms for the first time but I have never felt so at home in a new place! The bathrooms are cleaned daily but the friendly custodial staff and since the school is smaller, the showers are never occupied when you need them! The family rooms (common areas) offer themed rooms based on the floor (like Marvel and Star Wars decorations for Geek Life floor) and very comfy couches. The rooms were A LOT bigger than I thought! My roommate and I would often let friends sleep over and it still didn't feel cramped! At around 10PM (excluding finals week) is when "quiet hours" are enforced so people can sleep if they need to or need some time to study in the quiet.

The RA’s and Staff are there to help you whenever you need and don’t hover too much. You will make lots of friends here! The rooms are a decent size and comes with huge living room common areas, a game room, and a huge kitchen.

I liked how the dorms were near all the main areas of Campus. The rooms are a good size and there is enough space for two people to live easily. The common areas are nice and there are lots of tables to study at. There is also a ping pong and a pool table that can be used. The spaces are kept clean and the staff are very helpful.

When some students decided to vandalize parts of the dorms, instead of addressing the problem to these students, the staff just stopped putting maintenance work forms into our dorm. It honestly wasn't what I was paying for to live there. It was disgusting.

I met great people and had a great experience at my first year because of santa rosa village. It was close to my classes so it was extremely convenient. Lastly the services were all great there and if anything ever broke it was fixed quickly.
