Women's South Dorm Reviews at Charleston Southern

Overall I really enjoy living in Women's South. I live on the second floor and it is relatively clean most of the time however, if there is a spill or a mess on the staircase it takes a very long time for it to be cleaned up. Campus is relatively small so the location of Women's south is perfect. It is just far enough away from classes that you feel like you are living in a dorm room, but close enough where you don't have to trek to all your classes. My favorite part of living in Women's south is my hall and my RA. The community is amazing and I love being able to have built in friends and people to talk to. All of the RA's decorate the halls and the staircases and it looks very welcoming and homey.

In my first semester the dorm was very humid and part of the bottom of the wall started to crumble due to the moisture that had built up on the hall. The humidity would get so bad at times that the doors would be wet. We had a dehumidifier on the hall, but it was constantly leaking and making a huge puddle on the floor around it when it would get full. The people that I meet that work in Women's South were nice and respectful. In my second semester I am on a different floor of in the building and the humidity is very low and the dehumidifier works like the way that it should. Aside from the humidity that the first semester brought the experience has been good.

The building was established in the 1970s. The building consists of cinder block walls which get very cold during the winter months. There is not a clean common area to be found unless you go to main campus.
