Williams Hall Dorm Reviews at Dillard

I loved my experience at Williams Hall that I resided in for my first year of college. I had a pretty good experience though there were some imperfections. Overall Williams Hall was very cozy and home-like.

Williams Hall is the most occupied hall on DIllard's campus. Upon entry, it seems nice, but there are many problems including the plumbing systems. When I was living there, we had a water leak in our ceiling causing an excess amount of water within the common area. Additionally, placing in a work order was easy, but it wasn't enough staff to complete all of the work orders being put in. Furthermore, the environment had mold in many common areas.

Williams Hall is one of the only buildings on campus that wasn't renovated after Hurricane Katrina. There's mold on the vents and a minor pest problem. There are significant plumbing issues; my bathroom flooded due to water from the 3rd floor dripping from the ceiling for days without maintenance. The rooms are among the smallest on campus with very old and dated furniture. It's a coed dorm with little to no security. The front door is usually broken so many locals and non-students would be in and out of the residence hall. It's not the safest dorm on campus because of this, but it's location is great. It's central to the dining hall, athletic center, and all academic buildings.

It's a decent hall. A plus is that you don't have to share a bathroom with your hall. You share with no more than 3 other people. The downside is that it's an old building meaning that it's not the cleanest and things tend to break.

Williams Hall may not be the best hall on campus, but it provides a comfortable living space with the rooms that it offers. Also, it is in the process of being renovated soon, in which it will provide a better experience for incoming classes in the future.
