Crawford Hall Dorm Reviews at Drake

It was a solid place to stay for my first year in college, met some cool people who also were in Crawford who I kept in contact with throughout the whole school year. Mostly well kept, with most of the problems being the washers and dryers having problems toward the end of the year.

It was an overall good dorm to stay in for my first year in college and was pretty close to my classes. The bathrooms were cleaned daily but not all spots were cleaned every time, some of the sinks wouldn't work correctly.

The standard double rooms are a good size in comparison with other school's freshman dorm options. Other than that, it is a pretty standard residence hall with thin walls. Some things that could make the hall better would be a few more washers and dryers in the laundry room.

I had a great first year in Crawford Hall. My roommate and I got along great and had a nice room. The rooms are very nice size and the furnishings were adequate. With Covid this past year, we didn't use the common areas much, but everything seemed fairly clean and nice. Overall, I would highly recommend this dorm.

While the students and RA's are going to change yearly. My overall experience with Crawford was good. The staff was always friendly and did their best to keep the place clean. The common area is smaller than other halls but usually wasn't full anyway. Overall, as long as the residents staying there are tolerable, the hall will be a really good place.

Crawford Hall is one of the smallest freshman dorms. Due to it's size there are not many areas to meet with friends or to go study. The buildings are old, but nice for the age. It is in a great area. The dining halls are close along with McDonald's and Fong's Pizza within a 3 minute walking distance.

Crawford Hall has been my home away from home for a semester. I enjoy the balanced location between being located on campus, but also having a view of the outside world. The bridge leading into Crawford is one of my favorite aspects because it has a lovely view of nature and the trees around the dorm. The practical side of Crawford is a benefit as well. The elevators rarely have a long wait and the laundry room is clean. Also I am usually greeted at the front desk, which is helpful to know that there is a friendly face in my dorm building. In all, I have been extremely pleased with my living experience.
