Goodwin Kirk Hall Dorm Reviews at Drake

I would describe my experience at Goodwin Kirk Hall as an overall pleasant experience. The hall was clean and has extremely hard custodies that kept up with their jobs well! The individual dorm rooms were spacious, but the walls were thin.

Goodwin Kirk Residence Hall is by far the best upperclassmen residence hall. Because so many people live there, you are always making new friends. And the noise level is not bad at all! I lived in a single and had two triples on either side of me. I could not hear from their rooms and vice versa. The bathroom was close to my room so I was never in a panic to pee. Plus, every bathroom is cleaned 6 times a week.

The quads are very nice and spacious. However, in some aspects, the freshman dorms were better. Freshman dorms had a hallway sink, GK did not. Freshman dorms had mailboxes that we could access ourselves, GK did not. If you wanted to check your mail, you had to go to the front desk and ask them to get it for you.
