I have no problems with it. I have my own bathroom and my own room plus a kitchen, dinning room room, and living room that I share with a roommate. It is off campus but there are shuttles that arrive basically every five minutes to take you to main so it wasn't too much of a hassle for me!

Living at Clairmont had its pros and cons compared to the dorms on main campus. A larger apartment and our own kitchen was definitely nice, as well as not having to rely on your hallmates' cleanliness. I appreciated the feeling of independence that Clairmont offers. The main downside was the distance from main campus and how there wasn't a lot of food offerings within quick walking distance. One of the worst things was finding out that there were multiple instances of a man creeping into people's dorms and having no increased security on Clairmont. There are multiple points of entry, and the public can easily walk in to a building if they tailgate. Half of the apartment complex faces Lullwater, which the public frequents. If the university were to improve the security and food availability at Clairmont, then I would say it's an ideal living situation.
