Indian River Towers Dorm Reviews at FAU

I liked the dorm's location and honestly it was exactly what I expected for my freshman year. Unfortunately, there were serious problems with the building. Most of the baked goods in the vending machine were covered in ants, and there was an ant problem in the dorms as well. The elevator caught fire at one point in the middle of the night and was out of order for about a week. The laundry rooms were meant to accomodate five floors of college students but always had at least one washer/dryer that was broken or malfunctioning. Overall, it wasn't horrible we just had to work around the problems.

Overall the units are very small and cramped. We found a few bugs but overall was a clean experience. I loved living in the dorm. The units were close to campus so I did not need a car to get to my classes.

I lived at Indian River Towers throughout my Sophomore year at FAU. It is located in a great position on campus as you are relatively close to everything you may need on or off campus. It's a very friendly and welcoming environment and I would highly recommend it to incoming students.

Moving to the dorm was a little scary. The 1st week as everyone was focused on moving and trying to get unpacked and ready before classes started. I was lucky to be paired with clean organized suite mates like myself. I am so happy that FAU provided detail moving instructions with timelines and procedures. I especially liked the tips of what you should bring to make your life comfortable in the dorms.

my experience is pretty good. the staff is very nice and it's mostly clean. a little loud but not to the extreme. i felt very safe as the security is very tight. you need a key card to get in so only students are allowed.

My time at Indian River Towers was the best time of my life. Unfortunately, COVID-19 shortened my time their and forced me to move back home sooner than expected. My experience was very good and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to dorm.

A lot of areas on campus are currently closed due to Covid-19 but this dorm is really nice. The rooms have a middle living room area in between the bedrooms so the students can still hang out. It's also centrally located on campus and maintenance was fast to fix our a/c.

Iβve chosen to live in IRT for the past 2 years and I can say that Iβm happy with my choice. The dorm is located at the center of campus so itβs not too far from anything. There isnβt much noise in the building as the residents are compliant with the rules and, the RAβs are quite helpful as well.

Indian River Towers was honestly a great place, at first, it took a lot of time to get used to and was difficult but once I got to know everyone it quickly became one of my favorite places to be. It really added to my college life and I miss it sometimes.

Indian River Towers has been such a great experience. I love the common area which is almost like a living room. It allows me to do my online classes outside of my bedroom, which is especially nice if my Roomate is in class too. The location is perfect, it is right by the Breezeway and not too far from the dining hall.

My experience living in Indian River Towers on Florida Atlantic University campus is a bit of a mixed review. IRT is a mix of some juniors and freshmen, but mainly sophomores. The most important thing I was worried about was safety, They are very strict on who comes in and out of the building; always have your key card with you the COS are impossible with opening the door. When ordering food you have to go down and meet the delivery person, so basically if you don't live in the building you can't get in each card has access to the assigned housing building. I would have to say the staff are respectful and pleasant. Your peers are assigned RNA's and COS so you work and live closely with other students. When it comes to the dorm I chose to do a double, personally, I would recommend to anyone try your hardest for a single dorm it's for your convenience and comfort. The single dorm is about 700 dollars more than the double room and IRT unlike Glades Park Towers and Heritage Park Towers has a living room area and the shower and toilet area are separate. Water pressure is terrible midday - night and good luck trying to find parking close by. Room visits are announced and they are very respectful when they arrive and perform the visit. The RNA of your floor will post on a bulletin or elsewhere campus info and other activities. The dryers and washing machines are horrible, They had three working ones every other day of the week. There are eight washing machines and I believe twelve dryers for the whole building that never work properly. Maintenance is prompt and will come very early, a paper is filled out online and they come in the next day or two. The experience was your basic college experience, Indian River Towers is the mediocre Parliament and IVA, yet affordable.

Iβve heard other people say that parliament hall is the best option due to the fact that itβs the most recent, but I think itβs all down to preferences. In my opinion IRT is the best residence building.

Everything is great facilities wise! All common areas are kept clean and in good shape. I enjoy the small common rooms but sometimes I wish there were more so less groups of people have to share or reserve them.

I just moved into this location so far everything has been nice here. I don't care for how far my room is from Elevator , and how much this room cost, its very pricy and not enough amendments inside while covid but other than that I'm satisfied.
