North Lake Village Dorm Reviews at Florida Gulf Coast

I like living on campus. I live in the Honors Section of North Lake. It is quiet most of the time but there are times when parking is limited due to basketball games. There is also a beach area where you can go an relax.

North Lake has a beautiful waterfront with nice sized dorms. Most of the dorms have an updated kitchen with wood floors, although some still have carpet with old kitchens. If something breaks, there is maintenance staff, but they are sluggish and leave with only doing the least amount of work possible.

Northlake is made beautiful by the lake at the back. This view plus the view of the Miromar Lakes neighborhood makes it breathtaking. The amenities including swimming pool, the boardwalk and tennis courts are also great.

The overall vibe of the area is very clean and polished. In particular, where I live is close to the restaurant, which is nice. You can walk along the little manmade beach area as you please, and it is exclusive to students.

North Lake Village is an apartment style dorm with 4 rooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, and kitchen. North Lake Village also has a beach on the lake where you can tan, swim, rent a boat and much more.

Living at North Lake Village has many perks and very few negatives. the biggest perk is that you have your own private beach just walking distance from your front door. It takes about a 5 minute walk to get there from the farthest building. The rooms are very nicely sized and so is the common area. The kitchen could be a little bigger but it has all the necessities. The bathrooms are nice too. you do have to share a toilet and shower with one other person. There are two sinks to be shared between the four of your roomates in the common area. The only issue is maintenance takes a while to fulfill a request.

My experience so far in this dormitory has been great. The staff is great and the rooms are clean. The bathrooms are excellent and the format is easy to follow. I can not complain about my experience thus far.

It is a comfortable college living space on campus. Living in the renovated dorms is a nice experience; it feels clean and overall pretty well-maintained. There are some security concerns in the general campus area but I do not feel uncomfortable in my dorm. Walls and ceilings are pretty thin, so having loud upstairs neighbors is not super enjoyable, but the neighborhood as a whole is pretty quiet and calm.

I stayed during a summer a few years ago and North Lake Village had very nice dorms fo my first time staying at a dormitory. My room had four bedrooms and two bathrooms, and a small kitchenette which was plenty of room for me and my roommates. It wasn't too far from other dorm buildings or the Arena but a little farther from the class buildings.

The dorm was pretty nice but there were a lot of small issues (lights would flicker and turn off, toilet wouldn't flush, doors didn't lock) that took months to get fixed because maintenance was so backed up with other problems in the village. It's a bit of a hike to campus but it's a nice walk so most people don't mind.

I have really enjoyed living in North Lake Village! One of my favorite parts about living there is my amazing resident assistant (RA). My RA has really been there for me when I have any issue with my roommates which I have really appreciated. Overall, my experience has been great!

I life in a paradise! I move from Venezuela to the US and been able to be living in front of the beach again is a dream, the aquatic center and all the activities that you can do on the beach for free are part of the amazing experience + ride my bike to class is good for my body and my budget

It was honestly really great. It is a great value for the price and definitely great to have a lake view. The rooms are small but I do not mind. Sharing a bathroom could be difficult but I did not mind. The maintenance was great.

I loved the apartment style dorm living so much! However a downside was that the apartments needed serious upgrading. The couches didn’t match and often times the drains wouldn’t work. With minor cosmetic upgrades North Lake would be five stars across the board!

I loved being able to ride my bike to class, hang out in hammocks near the waterfront and parking wasn’t so stressful. They also had community parties to help feel included and have a chance to meet new people.

North Lake Village on-campus housing is equivalent to a four-bedroom and two-bathroom apartment along with a small kitchen and adjoining living room. It was a significant positive to have my own bedroom as well as being able to apply alongside friends to secure each other as roommates.

When I first arrived at north lake, I didn't know what to expect, the uncertainty of not knowing my roommates and knowing if we would get along occupied my mind as I moved in. I have to say throughout my time at north lake, I completely enjoyed it. I grew close with my roommates and we did everything together such as shopping, sitting in the common area as we told stories, movie nights and any activity we could think of. I honestly felt like i've made friends for life.
