Lakeview Hall Dorm Reviews at FIU

Lakeview Hall has to be one of the best dorms I've been in; Parkview Hall really has nothing against it, since the atmosphere of the place is 100% much better! Also, the quality is amazing and the workers are great!

I love it. Modern and clean. Fantastic location and easy access to campus and the gym. You must be accepted into the Honors College and maintain a GPA to be allowed into the program. The Lakeview dorm is also the athlete's dorm.

My experience at Lakeview Hall in FIU was incredible. Having the ability to stay at a nice dorm so close to campus was really an experience I would recommend to anyone. Especially living in the dorm having fellow students just like you living next to each other felt great, knowing there are always someone you can talk and relate to.

The dorms are extremely minimal and during this pandemic the few amenities such as the kitchen or common areas were closed. This campus has better dorms available but on the flip side this is among the cheapest rooms. it is acceptable overall.

So the only reason I was able to be at the dorms is because Fostering Panther Pride. I was homeless beforehand and living at Chapman Partnership. I hated the dorms more than any college experience I've ever had. The rooms are cramped, over-priced, loud, and I think I went mentally insane. They kicked me out during Coronavirus even though I was dealing with severe mental issues. Then they expected me to /pay/ for my dorm accommodation the next year meanwhile I had no income or ways of paying for it. This term I have decided that there would be absolutely no way I am ever going to stay at the FIU dorms. I am certainly not going back to a homeless shelter due to coronavirus and have been couch surfing and living in my car. I would rather save money that I really need at the moment and have been applying for scholarships consistently. I will never recommended dorm room accommodations at FIU, only if it was my last option on the table. Sorry for the poor review, I simply had a horrific experience.

Great dorm, and really close to buildings on campus. It's good for being with a close group of people your age and getting a real college experience. Walls are thin though, and other residents can get loud easily.

It was actually quite pleasant! The study rooms were very accommodating and the staff very helpful. The rooms are great considering it’s a college dorm, and the RAs are very kind and resourceful. Part of the experience also comes with getting along with your roommates.

Everyone was nice and respectful after certain hours to keep the noise down. Great place to stay and a good way to make friends. The maintenance was quick and normally came by the next day after a call to fix any problems.
