Ragans Hall Dorm Reviews at FSU

I lived in Ragans Hall in my second year at FSU. It is definitely an upgrade from the shared-style accommodations most freshman are put in, but much harder to get into if you don't have many credit hours. The building is not the newest on campus, but it's tucked away nicely near two parking garages and close to the stadium, gym, and circus tent. I would find myself having lots of phone conversations outside in the courtyard because of how pleasant it was, and never felt unsafe, even at night. The maintenance staff did a great job of responding to requests quickly. Overall, I would recommend this residence hall to any FSU student.

I really enjoyed my time at Ragans Hall. I lived on the second floor near the exit, so it was easy to get to my room and easy to get to the laundry room. Everyone who lived there was really kind, and for the most part kept to themselves. No one was super noisy either. Maintenance came pretty quickly to fix any issues we had, and the staff were always warm when I interacted with them.

really nice when it comes to student housing . far better than living in the dorms as it allows you some privacy by providing a bedroom of your own and you only have to share bathrooms with one other person. theres a kitchen so you can make your own food

Ragans was great for an apartment style dorm, I only wish that there was a little more effort put into community, especially for first year college students. There was plenty of room to spread out, but relatively little effort put into how to get everyone introduced and engaged.

It’s perfect if you want to stay on campus and want a college feel, but you definitely do not forget it is a college dorm. But being on campus keeps you involved and makes getting to destinations easy and accessible.

Ragans Hall has over all been a great experience. The location is right in the middle of campus near CVS, restaurants, clubs, and the football stadium. I enjoy having a full kitchen and my own personal room.

I lived there for 6 months and the dorm itself was alright, but the quality was terrible. I paid 5,000 for a garbage apartment with ant problems so all in all a terrible experience. the location was fine but I had to do my homework at the police station just to get some quiet because the common areas were never quiet.
