HARRIET TUBMAN QUADRANGLE (REOPENING FALL 2019) Dorm Reviews at Howard

Quad is definitely a sisterhood living dorm. Everyone is friendly and willing to help in anyway possible. The communal bathrooms aren't as bad as it may seem. You just have to get adjusted to sharing.

It was a nice environment. I learned to live on my own and amongst other people my age. It was different at times but I definitely learned to manage time and do things best fit for my schedule. The laundry room especially helped me time manage and learn patience

The dorm and communal bathroom was fine. Everyone had been newly updates, my main complaint is that the common rooms were only the first and ground floors and they did not a lot of seating, any tvs or additional amenities that others schools have. Also in addition to the study rooms I believed there should kitchens on every floor just the first.

I lived in the Quad fall of 2021-spring 2022. Though we didn’t have visitation due to COVID, it was still a great experience. If you are one that likes it quiet, this is the dorm for you! You will love every second spent in the Q-U-A-D!

I lived in the Quad my freshman year while renovations were still being made to the building. Due to the renovations, there was a lot of noise throughout the day and sometimes there would be male construction workers on my floor (accompanied by a female dorm worker). Aside from that, communal bathrooms weren't bad at all. They were cleaned every day. You will definitely form friendships and create a sisterhood through traditions and activities. Once renovations are complete I think Quad will all around be one of the best dorms on campus!

HU!! U KNOW!! Im currently a sophomore at Howard University and I stayed in the Q-U-A-D and I'm a member of QUAD Stroll Team, a freshman organization open to anybody that decides to stay in Harriet Tubman Quadrangle. Of all the dorms, that is where you'll find sisterhood, that is where you may find your flock, and that is definitely where you build a bond and a family. I was there when it first reopened, and a few of my quad sisters say they had a couple issues with their living situation, but I stayed in the baldwin hall on the third floor, we called ourselves B3 Baddies. The environment in QUAD is more than just living there. It's the BEST and baddest freshman dorm on campus and you won't connect in any other dorm the way you would at the Quad I promise!!

My experience in the Quad was amazing. All of your dorm mates on the same floor as you become your family and there is always an event happening in someone's room. The only thing that can improve is hot water being consistently available in the bathroom.
