HOWARD PLAZA TOWERS, EAST Dorm Reviews at Howard

I enjoyed living in Howard Plaza Towers, East. The students were helpful and friendly. The RAs were kind and always ready to help us. Security was good but not very good enough. It has a whole food nearby and lots of fast foods too.

Howard Plaza Towers East is an amicable environment. It very safe and strict on who comes in and out of the buildings which is good for the people who live in the dorms safety-wise. The common rooms are always clean and filled with energetic students who are ready to take on the day.

Howard Plaza Towers is like your first step into adulthood. It’s your first apartment before you make “big girl money “ it has its perks but it still has that I’m not fully grown yet vibe with all of its cons

Private rooms are nice but the overall dorm can be loud and not clean at times. Right next to some food places so it can be convenient, although its kinda far from some buildings on campus. Overall decent place compared to the other dorms on campus.

Overall, I loved towers and it was a good experience for me. I did not experience issues with rats and bugs and for that, I’m grateful. I kept my doors locked and felt pretty safe with the large population of students that lived there. To have your own apartment-style living and own room on campus at Howard was a blessing. Everyone’s experience is different and what you make it but I enjoyed living in Plaza Towers.

Living at the towers was a pleasant experience. I was an older student so it was perfect for Grad students. It is right across the street from the school so it's easier to get to class on time. Very safe.

The building overall is quite dirty as the hallways, laundry rooms, and stairwells aren't cleaned regularly only the ground floor common areas. There also aren't a lot of common areas in this dorm so if you want to stay in a dorm with communal space to hang out in aside from the bedrooms, this dorm would not be right for you. It is one of the "better" dorms on Howard's campus but it is definitely not an amazing dorm. The walls in the suites are thin so you will be able to hear your suitemate easily. The kitchens are also on the smaller side and there is not even a communal space within the suites aside from the kitchen, which really only has enough room for one person to cook at a time comfortably.
