The Hill Dorm Reviews at HSU

The Hill is a freshman-only dorm unit. I was on the 3rd floor of Sunset and it was not awful. on the weekends and some nights if you faced the quad area there would be a lot of yelling but eventually, someone would take it upon themselves and yell at them. The bathroom toilets were always clogged and there were times when the unit manager would threaten to take away bathroom privileges or charge the whole floor for the price of repairs. pets are allowed in the dorms however whether or not they clean up after them in their room is up for debate. some rooms you would walk by and it would smell very strongly of feces. however there is a strong community in the dorms and you can always find friends or people to talk to.

The Hill definitely had its ups and downs. This dormitory housing is usually quite loud and was also co-ed during my stay, which might have added to the chaos. One thing I did really enjoy was how easy it was to meet new people and make friends in The Hill. The bathrooms could've used more maintenance, but I think it depends a lot on you and your floor mates keeping the space clean. I loved most of my floor mates and how I'd always be greeted by a friend when coming and going.
