Busey-Evans Hall Dorm Reviews at University of Illinois

Busey-Evans Hall has been a very comfortable home-away-from-home with a welcoming feel. There is a great sense of community, the rooms are quite spacious, and the location itself is conveniently close to the main quad.

It can be pretty boring but it's quiet and it's close to ISR which has a really good dining hall. I would rather be in the six-pack for social reasons but Busey Evans has a feeling where you won't feel like there are so many people around.

Busey-Evans is a very quiet dorm where no one causes problems. It is in a very good location. A few minutes from the quad and right across from the School of Music. The entire place is well kept by the janitorial staff and feels safe throughout with a 24 hour front desk helper. The place has a vintage feel, but it’s quite nice to live in.

I lived in Busey Evans for 3 of my 4 years in undergrad. This dorm has the best food, quietest study areas, and the location is literally one block from the quad. Due to the location, it is very safe with well-lit areas. The Urbana fire department is not too far away. It is within spitting distance of Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, the Union, the underground library, and less than a 2 minute walk to one of the workout facilities, CRCE. I had a fabulous stay while in undergrad there. There are single rooms available if you request them too!
