Watterson Towers Dorm Reviews at ISU

Staying at Watterson has been a hate love relationship. I really like that there are good procedures and extra doors with keys for certain doors that can keep students safe. Sometime Watterson can get really crowded and the elevators take forever because of that. I would say my experience isn't bad, but it is not exceptional. The rooms are really close together so whenever I leave to go somewhere I feel very cramped, and in addition that I live in a quad room which was built for only 2 people when Watterson first opened. In my dorm room I feel as if I have no privacy and that makes living in Watterson especially hard.

Watterson Towers is pretty accessible to almost every building on campus walking wise. The food is alright although some of us wish there was more variety fruit wise at the dining hall. The residents in my floor are pretty quiet. You get to meet a lot of people at watts which is a good thing because all you have to do is take the elevator or stairs to your friend’s room. On that note, the elevators have broken down a couple of times in the four weeks that I’ve been here and a stranger did get into the building one time but thankfully no one got hurt, but other than that I do feel relatively safe here in Watterson.

My experience at Watterson Towers was great! I had stayed there for my first two years of college. The staff was nice and helpful when needed. I’d say the con of it is the maintenance wasn’t to good. There were always plumbing issues or elevators issues too.

My experience at Watterson Towers was very... Memorable. The building itself was beautiful and in a perfect location to go to class, the gym, or party, it was very centered on the campus. I lived on the A level, south side, at least 2 of the elevators were broken at almost all times, the bathrooms were never particularly clean but I wasn't expecting much more. The noise seemed to be the biggest issue to me. The quiet hours were never pushed to extremely besides finals week. Living in a dorm building is an experience I will never forget but there was definitely a good amount of downsides. if I had to go back and change anything, I wouldn't, I had a great freshman experience at ISU and I wouldn't give it up for the world. Although I wouldn't mind not having clumps of hair in the communal showers.

At times Watterson could feel a bit isolating since a lot of people in my classes and major lived in other dorms on campus, but you get more space and privacy at Watterson. Additionally being connected to the dining hall was a big bonus, especially in the Winter, it was nice not having to go outside at all to get food.

It was overall a great experience, the bathroom could cause a bit of trouble as times, with never ending flushing of broken toilets, water damage in the showers, or nasty sink water. IT was a great experience overall though.

Watterson Towers is a great dorm building. It is located right in the center of campus so it is really convenient when getting to class. It is kept clean, quiet, and an overall great place to live. 10/10 would recommend.

Watterson towers is a great dorm because it’s so easy to make friends and I met my best friend while living here. The windows are so nice and big and the view up high so amazing. It’s also connected to a dining hall which has outdoor seating with pretty lights. It’s also very close to the quad.

This year of COVID-19 obviously changed the dynamic of living on campus. My floor was pretty empty considering a lot of people moved out, but the overall experience of Watterson was fine. I liked that it was connected to the dining hall.

i think its a great place to live because everything is at your disposal. the dinning hall is right next to it. Great views and pretty much nice people all around.It is kind of like a wind tunnel when you walk outside but thats what coats are for.

I am currently a freshman attending ISU. I have been on campus since the fall semester of 2020, and am currently back on campus for the Spring semester. Id say watterson towers is quite nice, location wise, its close to everything on campus, especially classes. so far there have not been any safety issues. Everything is pretty clean, there have been a few maintenance issues since ive been here, but other than that, everything is ok.

Living in Watterson was so much fun not only was my roommate awesome but so were my neighbors we always had fun hanging out and studying together. If your looking at places to dorm I definitely recommend Watterson.

Watterson is a very welcoming residence hall that I, so far, have had a great experience with. Because I moved in during covid, the cleaning staff has made sure to clean the bathrooms twice a day and it makes me feel confident that they are doing their best to keep us safe. The dorms are a nice size with a big window and the RAs are very supportive as well.

It actually was not too shabby. Everything was kept clean for the most part and when there was a problem it was handled well within a day. Our RA made sure we were having a good time and everything was going well. The dining hall had good access and was not too strict. The food on the other hand could use some work haha.

It's a fun place to be in if you have friends here and there are many great things about it. The downsides about it would be sometimes neighbors can be quite noisy but that's not terrible if you have headphones, and sometimes elevators can have issues but the issues are fixed pretty quickly.

The bathrooms were clean. But the girls that I shared the bathroom with, was where the problem began. They would leave hair all in the shower drains. Floor was quiet except for nights of parties when the girls played music to get ready. Most of my classes were right across from my dorm which was great. I would only have to wale up about 15 mins before class.

I like it overall. It has its good sides and it’s bad. But it’s super close to everything. So thats what makes it better. Also if you ever need help with fixing anything. They come fairly quickly. It’s just a little plain.

I like that the dining hall is below Wattersom Towers as well as the location is perfect by the quad close to class. But the bathrooms in Watterson are pretty gross and smelly, the showers are so small with minimal privacy compared to the other dorms on campus like Hewett/Manchester. If watterson had Hew/Man bathrooms, it would be better

I had a really enjoyable experience living at Watterson Towers dorms. It was the only dorm directly on-campus that had a dining hall. The dining hall was small, but the hall allowed for students to take their food-to-go. The rooms themselves are pretty spacious especially the corner rooms. The community bathroom is small for the number of people in the unit. The best part about living there is that it has a gaming floor/laundry room located on the top floor.

Watterson Towers was in a great location. Right next to one of the buildings so very easy to get to class. The dorms got cleaned every day so if there was any mess it did not last long. One issue I had was the elevators. After class, there were always 50 plus kids waiting for an elevator and most of the time a few were out of service. It would take so long to actually get one.
